Dell PowerEdge R750: Riser Configuration Error on Boot

When booting the Dell PowerEdge R750 with a single CPU, you may encounter a configuration error message during the boot process. These messages may appear due to hardware validation checks performed by the system.

How to Resolve Configuration Event Messages

To remove these configuration event messages, follow the steps below:

  1. Reboot the server and enter the BIOS setup.
  2. Navigate to iDRAC settings.
  3. Locate the Hardware Configuration Validation menu.
  4. Inside this menu, you will find an option to accept the current hardware configuration as valid.
  5. Select this option and save the changes.
  6. Exit the BIOS and allow the system to reboot.

Important: This method is only applicable for riser-related issues and should not be used for CPU, RAM or PSU configuration errors.
